Fuego Nuevo Museum- Iztapalapa - Mexico City - Mexico

Museum dedicated to narrate the importance of this event for the Aztec culture every 52 years. Maizz Visual has developed 3 multimedia experiences that contribute greatly to explaining what the New Fire ceremony was and its vital importance for the Mexica culture.

The Myths room, narrates the creation of the earth, the sun and the moon according to the Nahuatl tradition on a 4 x 1.80m projection screen. 


The next experience is the Model of the distribution of the New Fire throughout the Valley of Mexico, with 3D video mapping on a scale model of the Valley. 

Finally, the central experience narrates the rite of the sacred ceremony of the New Fire, in an immersive room, with an octagonal shape and a large screen of 14m in front and a zenithal screen of 5m in diameter. A 9-minute piece that mixes art and 2D and 3D animation to generate a 100% immersive experience. 

The Museum is located in the Cerro de la Estrella, Iztapalapa, and is open to the general public.
