What is projection mapping?

Video mapping is an audiovisual technique that uses high-powered projectors and specialized software to adapt video content to the exact shape of a surface: a facade, a building, a stage, a table, or even a small object. Instead of projecting onto a standard flat screen, the image is precisely adjusted to the contours, reliefs, and actual volumes of the chosen surface.

The result is an optical illusion: walls that appear to break, sculptures that come to life, buildings that change texture or color, and spaces that are completely transformed without any physical alteration of the structure. This technique combines 2D and 3D design, animation, lighting, perspective, and in many cases, surround sound to achieve an immersive and memorable experience.

At Maizz Visual we develop each project in a comprehensive way: surveying the surface, designing custom content, technical production (projection, lighting and sound) and on-site installation, with a 360° turnkey production approach.

Uses and applications of video mapping

Architectural video mapping

Projections onto facades, monuments, or historic buildings are used to beautify them, tell a story, or celebrate a date. This format is most commonly used in cultural festivals and outdoor performances in squares and historic centers.

Corporate and brand video mapping

Product launches, brand activations, and advertising campaigns on corporate buildings, stands, or stages. It allows you to launch a product or communicate a message in a memorable and highly shareable way on social media.

Live events, concerts and stage design

Projections synchronized with music and stage elements that are integrated into the production of a concert, festival or live show, generating dynamic sets without the need to build a physical set.

Fixed integrations

Long-term projection or lighting solutions for hotels, 360° immersive rooms, shopping centers, corporate offices and tourist spaces, operating as a fixed site attraction.

Art, culture and institutions

Interventions in museums, cultural centers and heritage sites to reinterpret works, highlight the historical value of a space or create immersive artistic experiences open to the public.

Weddings and social events

Customized projections for weddings, anniversaries and private celebrations, adapted to the hall, garden or venue of the event to create a unique atmosphere.

Table mapping and gastronomic experiences

Projection onto tables, plates and gastronomic displays for restaurants and signature dinners, transforming the service experience into a visual and interactive moment.
