We develop video mapping projects in Mexico for brands, agencies, museums, and institutions. From our studio in Mexico City, we combine creative direction, 2D and 3D animation, and technical production to create projections on facades, stages, and interior spaces. We can handle the audiovisual content or integrate the projection, sound, and on-site operation, depending on the needs of each project.

How we bring your vision to life

Review of the space and objective

We review the project's objective, the projection surface, its dimensions, and the lighting conditions. We analyze the available positions for the equipment and the needs of the event or installation. We use photographs, plans, and information about the space to assess the technical possibilities and determine if a site visit is necessary.

Creative proposal and quote

With that information, we define the creative approach and scope of the work: audiovisual content creation, technical production, or a solution that integrates both. We prepare a proposal detailing the deliverables, stages, and necessary resources, taking into account the deadline, the characteristics of the space, and the available budget.

Content design and production

We develop the script, visual design, and 2D and 3D animation according to the approved scope. We adapt the content to the geometry and proportions of the surface and coordinate playback specifications with the technical team. Music, sound design, and voiceover are integrated when they are part of the project.

Testing, delivery, and operation

When the project includes technical production, we coordinate the setup, projection tests, calibration, and audiovisual synchronization, in addition to the agreed-upon on-site operation. For content creation projects, we deliver the files in the defined formats and coordinate their integration with the projection team.

What is projection mapping?

Video mapping is an audiovisual technique that uses high-powered projectors and specialized software to adapt video content to the exact shape of a surface: a facade, a building, a stage, a table, or even a small object. Instead of projecting onto a standard flat screen, the image is precisely adjusted to the contours, reliefs, and actual volumes of the chosen surface.

The result is an optical illusion: walls that appear to break, sculptures that come to life, buildings that change texture or color, and spaces that are completely transformed without any physical alteration of the structure. This technique combines 2D and 3D design, animation, lighting, perspective, and in many cases, surround sound to achieve an immersive and memorable experience.

At Maizz Visual we develop each project in a comprehensive way: surveying the surface, designing custom content, technical production (projection, lighting and sound) and on-site installation, with a 360° turnkey production approach.

Uses and applications of video mapping

Architectural video mapping

Projections onto facades, monuments, or historic buildings are used to beautify them, tell a story, or celebrate a date. This format is most commonly used in cultural festivals and outdoor performances in squares and historic centers.

Corporate and brand video mapping

Product launches, brand activations, and advertising campaigns on corporate buildings, stands, or stages. It allows you to launch a product or communicate a message in a memorable and highly shareable way on social media.

Live events, concerts and stage design

Projections synchronized with music and stage elements that are integrated into the production of a concert, festival or live show, generating dynamic sets without the need to build a physical set.

Fixed audiovisual integrations

Long-term projection, lighting or audiovisual content solutions for hotels, 360° immersive rooms, shopping centers, corporate offices and tourist spaces.

Art, culture and institutions

Projections onto facades, monuments, or historic buildings are used to beautify them, tell a story, or celebrate a date. This format is most commonly used in cultural festivals and outdoor performances in squares and historic centers.

Questions about your video mapping project

How much does a video mapping project cost?

The budget depends on the surface area, lighting conditions, duration and complexity of the content, and the equipment required. It also varies depending on whether the project includes only audiovisual creation or incorporates editing, projection, sound, and operation. We prepare each quote based on the actual scope of the project.

Can you create only the audiovisual content?

Yes. We can develop the script, visual design, and animation for a technical production managed by the client or another company. In that case, we coordinate the dimensions, resolution, and delivery specifications with the team responsible for the projection.

Can it be projected onto any facade or space?

Each surface requires an assessment. We review its dimensions, materials, textures, lighting, and available positions for equipment installation. This assessment allows us to define the appropriate content and technical solution for the space.
